Ribban - A Gentle Touch of Warmth

Bring a soft and inviting atmosphere to your home with the Ribban rug. This piece offers a refined, structured texture that feels natural and warm underfoot.
The Ribban rug is a thoughtfully created piece designed to bring a sense of calm and comfort to any room. Its structured surface provides a pleasing tactile experience, making it a wonderful addition to living spaces where you want to encourage relaxation.
Crafted from Wool, this rug offers the natural warmth and durability that makes Wool a timeless choice for the home. The material is chosen for its resilience, ensuring that your rug maintains its inviting look and feel over many years of daily use.
Designed with versatility in mind, this rug is fully reversible, allowing you to easily extend its lifespan and refresh your room's appearance whenever you like. It is also compatible with underfloor heating, so you can enjoy a cosy and comfortable environment throughout the cooler months.
Coming from India, where there is a long-standing tradition of textile craft, this rug reflects a dedication to quality. It serves as a grounded, reliable foundation for your home, blending seamlessly into various interior settings while providing a consistent and comforting presence.

Design

The design of the Ribban rug is defined by its clean, structured appearance and a soft pink tone. Its understated aesthetic allows the natural texture of the weave to take center stage, creating a look that is both simple and visually engaging.
This rug features a uniform, single-coloured surface that brings a sense of balance and harmony to your floor. The subtle play of light across the structured weave adds depth, making it a versatile choice for any room.
Every Ribban rug is hand woven by skilled artisans who have honed their craft over many years. This traditional method requires a steady hand and a keen eye, ensuring that each piece is made with care and attention to detail.
The process of hand weaving involves a significant investment of time and human effort, as the rug is built row by row on a loom. This labour-intensive technique results in a product that possesses a unique character and sturdiness that mass-produced alternatives simply cannot match.
By choosing a hand woven rug, you are supporting a process that values human skill and traditional techniques. The result is a durable and well-constructed item that brings a sense of authentic artistry and lasting quality into your living space.

80% Wool

Wool is a fantastic natural fibre with many benefits, it is durable and hard-wearing, which means that a rug made from wool can be used for several generations and maintain its quality. They are an excellent choice for keeping your rooms warm during the cold winter months and can reduce noise from everyday life. The material also has a natural dirt-repellent effect which makes wool rugs easy to keep clean. Wool has a natural elasticity, which means that when the pile is pressed down, it can easily bounce back to its original shape.

20% Cotton

Cotton is a natural material that makes them a suitable option for people with allergies. The material is soft, durable and resilient, which makes them practical and comfortable for high-traffic areas such as the hallway, kitchen, and bathroom.

Care & Fair

We are proud to be part of the organization CARE & FAIR. Their mission is to improve the living conditions of carpet weavers in India and their families through education and health

Care & Fair

Maintenance

  • To prevent shading and uneven wear, frequently rotate your rug.
  • Use a conventional hoover instead of a robotic cleaner to prevent any damage to the rug.
  • If you discover a loose thread on your rug, use scissors to gently cut it off. Avoid pulling the thread to prevent damage.
  • Shake the rug outdoors to remove any excess dirt or debris.

Installation

  • Fold marks may occur during transport. This is not a manufacturing defect and is easy to remedy. Simply turn your rug over, roll it tightly, and leave it for a few hours. Finally, lay out your rug and wait a few days until your rug lays flat against the floor.
  • As you unpack your new rug, you may notice a slight smell, which is due to the rug being tightly packed during transport. This is normal and will go away after a few days.
  • Make sure your floor is completely dry before placing the rug.

Care instructions

Do this
  • Address spills promptly to minimize staining. Blot the affected area gently with a damp, undyed cloth—never rub, as this may embed the stain further into the fibers. Protect the floor beneath the rug by ensuring it's properly covered during the cleaning process.
  • We recommend that you use Rugvista Stain Remover for this type of rug.
  • For hard-to-remove stains, we recommend you contact a professional rug cleaner.
Avoid this
  • Do not wash
  • Do not bleach.
  • Do not tumble dry.
  • Do not iron.
