Mono Handloom - The Calm Beneath Your Feet

Bring a calm and cosy atmosphere to your home with this tactile wool and viscose rug, designed with a soft beige tone and a comforting texture underfoot.
Experience the inviting warmth and comforting tactile feel this rug brings to your living space.
Crafted to enrich your daily life, it offers a soft surface that feels natural and reassuring with every step you take.
The thoughtful construction brings together natural fibres that provide gentle sound absorption, helping to create a quieter and more peaceful room environment.
Designed for modern living, this piece is fully compatible with underfloor heating systems, allowing warmth to pass through easily while keeping your floors cosy during colder months.
Sourced from India and produced with careful attention to detail, this rug reflects high standards of craft, bringing both beauty and dependable quality to your home.

Design

The visual composition centres on a clean, understated field framed by a subtle border that adds gentle definition to the overall layout.
The tonal variation across the surface creates a quiet sense of depth without overwhelming the room.
The calm beige palette makes this design versatile enough to blend smoothly into various interior styles, bringing a restful and balanced mood to sitting rooms and bedrooms alike.
This rug is carefully crafted using a traditional handloom technique, requiring significant human effort and skilled handiwork from start to finish.
Artisans spend many days working at the loom to interlace the fibres and build a dense, durable foundation.
Because of the considerable time and manual dedication involved in handloom production, each rug possesses a unique character and lasting structural integrity that machine-made alternatives cannot replicate.

70% Wool

Wool is a fantastic natural fibre with many benefits, it is durable and hard-wearing, which means that a rug made from wool can be used for several generations and maintain its quality. They are an excellent choice for keeping your rooms warm during the cold winter months and can reduce noise from everyday life. The material also has a natural dirt-repellent effect which makes wool rugs easy to keep clean. Wool has a natural elasticity, which means that when the pile is pressed down, it can easily bounce back to its original shape.

20% Viscose

Viscose is a synthetic fibre made from cellulose, which is a natural material found in plants. The material is often used to give a shine to rugs and to highlight details in a way that is found in silk rugs. Viscose rugs have a soft and beautiful shine that gives a luxurious feeling. The material is sensitive to liquids, which means that moisture can cause stains, shrink or make the fibres yellow. Therefore it is best if you avoid placing place your viscose rug in areas prone to humidity or risk of spills.

10% Cotton

Cotton is a natural material that makes them a suitable option for people with allergies. The material is soft, durable and resilient, which makes them practical and comfortable for high-traffic areas such as the hallway, kitchen, and bathroom.

Care & Fair

Maintenance

  • To prevent shading and uneven wear, frequently rotate your rug.
  • Use a conventional hoover instead of a robotic cleaner to prevent any damage to the rug.
  • If you discover a loose thread on your rug, use scissors to gently cut it off. Avoid pulling the thread to prevent damage.
  • Rug suitable for use with underfloor heating (max. 27°C).
  • You may notice some shedding on your rug - this is completely normal and a sign of its high-quality natural fibres. The shedding will gradually lessen over time and does not affect the rug’s quality or lifespan. Regular hoovering with gentle suction and occasional brushing will help manage loose fibres and keep your rug looking beautiful for years to come.

Installation

  • For added safety, stability and floor protection, we recommend using an anti-slip pad underneath the rug (sold separately).
  • As you unpack your new rug, you may notice a slight smell, which is due to the rug being tightly packed during transport. This is normal and will go away after a few days.
  • Make sure your floor is completely dry before placing the rug.
  • The rug is sensitive to moisture, which can cause the fibers to shrink or discolor (e.g., turn yellow). To prevent this, avoid placing the rug in areas prone to humidity or spills.
  • We recommend using an anti-slip mat with this rug, as color migration may occur onto light-colored floors.
  • Please be aware that trapped dirt, dust, or dampness under a rug may cause marks or scratches on sensitive floors.

Cleaning instructions

Do this
  • We recommend that you use Rugvista Stain Remover only on the wool parts of the rug, not on the viscose parts.
  • Spot clean only.
  • Address spills promptly to minimize staining. Blot the affected area gently with a dry, undyed cloth—never rub, as this may embed the stain further into the fibers.
  • For hard-to-remove stains, we recommend you contact a professional rug cleaner.
Avoid this
  • Do not wash
  • Do not bleach.
  • Do not tumble dry.
  • Do not iron.
  • Do not dry clean.
