Handloom flat - Natural Calm for Hallways

Bring a grounded, natural feel to your transitional spaces with this deep green handloom runner.

Crafted from wool, this flatwoven runner brings natural warmth and quiet texture to high-traffic areas like hallways and entryways. The soft wool pile offers a comforting feel underfoot while maintaining a slim profile that stays grounded.

Designed with practical living in mind, the 7 mm low thickness allows doors to open and close smoothly over the rug. Its low height also makes it a neat fit alongside baseboards and furniture without creating tripping hazards.

This runner is fully compatible with underfloor heating, allowing heat to pass through efficiently without damaging the natural fibers. It helps keep your floors warm and inviting throughout the cooler months of the year.

Handcrafted in India, this piece reflects long-standing weaving traditions. The combination of simple design and natural wool ensures a durable floor covering that brings lasting balance to your home.

Design

This runner presents a solid dark green palette that runs evenly across its entire length. Free from bold motifs or intricate borders, the visual character relies entirely on the natural weave, showing fine horizontal tonal shifts created as the wool yarn catches light.

The rich forest green tone lends a calm, organic accent to neutral hallways and corridors. Its simple, single-coloured design acts as a quiet visual anchor that complements clean, modern interiors and classic timber floors alike.

Hand woven by skilled artisans in India, this runner is created using traditional handloom techniques. Every section requires time, patient control, and clear attention to detail as weavers interlace the yarn by hand to create a smooth, even surface.

A handloom runner of this length takes several weeks to complete from initial yarn preparation to final finishing. The result of this steady human effort is a resilient flatweave with subtle texture variations that machine production simply cannot replicate.

The material also has a natural dirt-repellent effect which makes wool rugs easy to keep clean. Maintenance

To prevent shading and uneven wear, frequently rotate your rug.
Use a conventional hoover instead of a robotic cleaner to prevent any damage to the rug.
If you discover a loose thread on your rug, use scissors to gently cut it off. Avoid pulling the thread to prevent damage.
Shake the rug outdoors to remove any excess dirt or debris.

Installation

Fold marks may occur during transport. This is not a manufacturing defect and is easy to remedy. Simply turn your rug over, roll it tightly, and leave it for a few hours. Finally, lay out your rug and wait a few days until your rug lays flat against the floor.
As you unpack your new rug, you may notice a slight smell, which is due to the rug being tightly packed during transport. This is normal and will go away after a few days.
Make sure your floor is completely dry before placing the rug.
We recommend using an anti-slip mat with this rug, as color migration may occur onto light-colored floors.
Please be aware that trapped dirt, dust, or dampness under a rug may cause marks or scratches on sensitive floors.

Cleaning instructions

Do this

Spot clean only.
Address spills promptly to minimize staining. Blot the affected area gently with a damp, undyed cloth—never rub, as this may embed the stain further into the fibers. Protect the floor beneath the rug by ensuring it's properly covered during the cleaning process.
We recommend that you use Rugvista Stain Remover for this type of rug.
For hard-to-remove stains, we recommend you contact a professional rug cleaner.

Avoid this
