By choosing this rug, you are supporting traditional craftsmanship that has been passed down through generations. It is a thoughtful choice for any indoor space where you want to combine a clean aesthetic with a sense of genuine, human-made quality.

Design

The design features a subtle, fine-striped pattern that creates a sense of depth and movement across the surface. Its clean, minimalist aesthetic allows it to blend seamlessly into various rooms without overpowering your existing decor.

The soft grey tone provides a versatile and calming foundation for your interior. By using delicate variations in the weave to form the stripes, the rug maintains a sophisticated and understated look that highlights the natural beauty of the wool.

This rug is created using a traditional hand-loom technique, a process that requires significant skill and patience. Artisans work carefully to weave the wool through the foundation, ensuring that every row is placed with precision. This labour-intensive method is what gives the rug its distinct, uniform texture and high level of durability.

Because each rug is made by hand, the creation process is a slow and deliberate one. Skilled weavers spend many hours on each piece to ensure the quality meets our premium standards. This dedication to the craft results in a rug that feels personal and unique, far removed from the mass-produced alternatives found elsewhere.

The combination of the wool pile and its sturdy construction foundation creates a finished product that is both substantial and well-balanced. By focusing on the human effort behind every stitch, we ensure that the final result is a rug that you can rely on for years to come. It is a true testament to the value of slow, intentional production.

45% Viscose

Viscose is a synthetic fibre made from cellulose, which is a natural material found in plants. The material is often used to give a shine to rugs and to highlight details in a way that is found in silk rugs. Viscose rugs have a soft and beautiful shine that gives a luxurious feeling. The material is sensitive to liquids, which means that moisture can cause stains, shrink or make the fibres yellow. Therefore it is best if you avoid placing place your viscose rug in areas prone to humidity or risk of spills.

35% Wool

Wool is a fantastic natural fibre with many benefits, it is durable and hard-wearing, which means that a rug made from wool can be used for several generations and maintain its quality. They are an excellent choice for keeping your rooms warm during the cold winter months and can reduce noise from everyday life. The material also has a natural dirt-repellent effect which makes wool rugs easy to keep clean. Wool has a natural elasticity, which means that when the pile is pressed down, it can easily bounce back to its original shape.

20% Cotton

Cotton is a natural material that makes them a suitable option for people with allergies. The material is soft, durable and resilient, which makes them practical and comfortable for high-traffic areas such as the hallway, kitchen, and bathroom.

Maintenance

To prevent shading and uneven wear, frequently rotate your rug.
Use a conventional hoover instead of a robotic cleaner to prevent any damage to the rug.
If you discover a loose thread on your rug, use scissors to gently cut it off. Avoid pulling the thread to prevent damage.
Rug suitable for use with underfloor heating (max. 27°C).
You may notice some shedding on your rug - this is completely normal and a sign of its high-quality natural fibres. The shedding will gradually lessen over time and does not affect the rug’s quality or lifespan. Regular hoovering with gentle suction and occasional brushing will help manage loose fibres and keep your rug looking beautiful for years to come.
Shake the rug outdoors to remove any excess dirt or debris.

Installation

For added safety, stability and floor protection, we recommend using an anti-slip pad underneath the rug (sold separately).
As you unpack your new rug, you may notice a slight smell, which is due to the rug being tightly packed during transport. This is normal and will go away after a few days.
Make sure your floor is completely dry before placing the rug.
The rug is sensitive to moisture, which can cause the fibers to shrink or discolor (e.g., turn yellow). To prevent this, avoid placing the rug in areas prone to humidity or spills.
Please be aware that trapped dirt, dust, or dampness under a rug may cause marks or scratches on sensitive floors.

Do this

We recommend that you use Rugvista Stain Remover only on the wool parts of the rug, not on the viscose parts.
Spot clean only.
Address spills promptly to minimize staining. Blot the affected area gently with a dry, undyed cloth—never rub, as this may embed the stain further into the fibers.
For hard-to-remove stains, we recommend you contact a professional rug cleaner.
