The use of natural materials means that each rug carries a unique character, providing a beautiful and honest addition to your living space that you can feel good about.

Design

The design features a clean and balanced striped pattern that brings a sense of harmony to any room. The interplay between green and light green tones creates a soft, refreshing visual effect that works well in various settings.

Its simple, linear aesthetic provides a timeless foundation for your decor. The stripes are uniform and precise, ensuring the rug feels grounded and intentional without overwhelming your other furnishings.

This rug is entirely hand woven by skilled artisans in India. The process requires a steady hand and a deep understanding of textile traditions, as the Wool is carefully interlaced with a cotton foundation to create a durable and uniform finish. This traditional technique ensures that the resulting fabric has a strength and character that machine-made alternatives simply cannot replicate.

The creation of this rug is a time-intensive endeavour, with experienced weavers dedicating several days to complete a single piece. Every row of the pattern is meticulously placed, requiring constant focus and patience to maintain the consistency of the stripes. This human effort is visible in the subtle variations and the tight, uniform weave that defines the final product.

By choosing a hand woven rug, you are supporting the preservation of traditional weaving skills. The scale of effort involved in producing a rug of this size is significant, as each thread is handled individually to ensure a high-quality outcome. This dedication to craft results in a durable, well-made piece that is built to serve as a centrepiece in your home for many years.

Maintenance

To prevent shading and uneven wear, frequently rotate your rug.
Use a conventional hoover instead of a robotic cleaner to prevent any damage to the rug.
If you discover a loose thread on your rug, use scissors to gently cut it off. Avoid pulling the thread to prevent damage.
Shake the rug outdoors to remove any excess dirt or debris.

Installation

Fold marks may occur during transport. This is not a manufacturing defect and is easy to remedy. Simply turn your rug over, roll it tightly, and leave it for a few hours. Finally, lay out your rug and wait a few days until your rug lays flat against the floor.
As you unpack your new rug, you may notice a slight smell, which is due to the rug being tightly packed during transport. This is normal and will go away after a few days.
Make sure your floor is completely dry before placing the rug.
We recommend using an anti-slip mat with this rug, as color migration may occur onto light-colored floors.
Please be aware that trapped dirt, dust, or dampness under a rug may cause marks or scratches on sensitive floors.

For hard-to-remove stains, we recommend you contact a professional rug cleaner.
