Design

The design features a bold, large-scale checkered pattern that plays with varying shades of green to create a fresh and modern look. The irregular edges of the rug add a dynamic, playful element that breaks away from traditional rectangular forms, making it a standout feature in any room.

The combination of soft mint green and deeper green tones offers a balanced colour palette that feels both grounded and vibrant. Its clean, geometric layout brings a sense of order and contemporary style to your floor space.

This rug is hand-tufted by skilled artisans in India, a process that requires precision and a keen eye for detail. The technique involves punching individual strands of Wool into a cotton backing, creating a dense and durable pile that feels plush and inviting. This method allows for the distinct, clean lines of the checkered pattern to be rendered with great accuracy.

The creation of a hand-tufted rug is a labour-intensive process that transforms raw materials into a finished piece through careful, human-led effort. Artisans spend significant time ensuring every section is uniform, resulting in a product that carries the unique character of handmade work. This level of dedication ensures that each rug is a substantial and well-made addition to your home.

By selecting a hand-tufted piece, you are supporting a craft that balances traditional skill with contemporary design requirements. The time invested in the production of each rug guarantees a level of quality and finish that mass-produced alternatives cannot replicate. It is a testament to the talent of the weavers who bring such vibrant patterns to life.

Maintenance

To prevent shading and uneven wear, frequently rotate your rug.
Use a conventional hoover instead of a robotic cleaner to prevent any damage to the rug.
If you discover a loose thread on your rug, use scissors to gently cut it off. Avoid pulling the thread to prevent damage.
You may notice some shedding on your rug - this is completely normal and a sign of its high-quality natural fibres. The shedding will gradually lessen over time and does not affect the rug’s quality or lifespan. Regular hoovering with gentle suction and occasional brushing will help manage loose fibres and keep your rug looking beautiful for years to come.

Installation

Fold marks may occur during transport. This is not a manufacturing defect and is easy to remedy. Simply turn your rug over, roll it tightly, and leave it for a few hours. Finally, lay out your rug and wait a few days until your rug lays flat against the floor.
As you unpack your new rug, you may notice a slight smell, which is due to the rug being tightly packed during transport. This is normal and will go away after a few days.
Make sure your floor is completely dry before placing the rug.
Please be aware that trapped dirt, dust, or dampness under a rug may cause marks or scratches on sensitive floors.

Care instructions

Do this

Address spills promptly to minimize staining. Blot the affected area gently with a damp, undyed cloth—never rub, as this may embed the stain further into the fibers. Protect the floor beneath the rug by ensuring it's properly covered during the cleaning process.
We recommend that you use Rugvista Stain Remover for this type of rug.
For hard-to-remove stains, we recommend you contact a professional rug cleaner.

Avoid this

Do not wash
Do not bleach.
Do not tumble dry.
Do not iron.
