Design

The Aberdeen rug features a bold, geometric-inspired block pattern that highlights the contrast between cool blue and warm orange tones. The intersecting colour fields create a sense of balance and visual interest, making it a versatile focal point for various interior settings.

The simple, clean lines of the design are enhanced by the subtle variations in the weave, adding depth to the overall appearance. The addition of a fringe along the edges provides a soft, finishing touch that complements the structured pattern perfectly.

The Aberdeen rug is carefully hand woven by skilled artisans who bring years of experience to every piece. This traditional technique involves a steady, rhythmic process where the wool is meticulously interlaced to create a durable and consistent structure. The time and patience required for this manual work ensure that each rug has its own unique character and high level of finish.

Creating a rug of this size is a significant undertaking that requires several days of focused work from experienced weavers. The process is a testament to the skill involved in balancing the tension and pattern to produce a final result that is both beautiful and robust. By investing in this hand woven piece, you are choosing a product that has been shaped by human hands and careful attention to detail.

Care & Fair

We are proud to be part of the organization CARE & FAIR. Their mission is to improve the living conditions of carpet weavers in India and their families through education and health

Maintenance

To prevent shading and uneven wear, frequently rotate your rug.
Use a conventional hoover instead of a robotic cleaner to prevent any damage to the rug.
If you discover a loose thread on your rug, use scissors to gently cut it off. Avoid pulling the thread to prevent damage.
Avoid hoovering directly over the fringes, as the suction and brushes can catch the threads and cause damage.
Shake the rug outdoors to remove any excess dirt or debris.

Installation

Fold marks may occur during transport. This is not a manufacturing defect and is easy to remedy. Simply turn your rug over, roll it tightly, and leave it for a few hours. Finally, lay out your rug and wait a few days until your rug lays flat against the floor.
As you unpack your new rug, you may notice a slight smell, which is due to the rug being tightly packed during transport. This is normal and will go away after a few days.
Make sure your floor is completely dry before placing the rug.
We recommend using an anti-slip mat with this rug, as color migration may occur onto light-colored floors.
Please be aware that trapped dirt, dust, or dampness under a rug may cause marks or scratches on sensitive floors.

Cleaning instructions

Do this

Spot clean only.
Address spills promptly to minimize staining. Blot the affected area gently with a damp, undyed cloth—never rub, as this may embed the stain further into the fibers. Protect the floor beneath the rug by ensuring it's properly covered during the cleaning process.
We recommend that you use Rugvista Stain Remover for this type of rug.
For hard-to-remove stains, we recommend you contact a professional rug cleaner.

Avoid this

Do not wash
Do not bleach.
Do not tumble dry.
Do not iron.
