Designed with versatility in mind, this rug is perfectly compatible with underfloor heating systems. This ensures you can enjoy the natural benefits of the cotton construction without compromising on the comfort of a warm floor during cooler months.

As a proud addition to our Core collection, this rug represents a commitment to quality and thoughtful design. With its roots in traditional Indian weaving techniques, it brings a sense of authentic craftsmanship into your home, providing a durable and stylish foundation for your interior.

Design

The design features a sharp, geometric arrangement of bold stripes that play with visual rhythm. The stark contrast between the black and white tones creates a dynamic effect that draws the eye and adds a modern edge to your floors.

This minimalistic approach to pattern ensures that the rug remains a versatile piece, capable of fitting into diverse interior styles. The clean lines provide a sense of structure and balance, making it an ideal choice for creating a sophisticated, uncluttered look.

Each Moderno rug is carefully hand-woven by skilled artisans in India. This traditional technique requires a steady hand and a keen eye for detail, as every row is placed with precision to ensure the integrity of the bold striped pattern.

The process of hand-weaving this rug is a time-intensive endeavour that reflects a deep respect for the craft. By choosing a hand-woven piece, you are supporting a legacy of human skill and patience that simply cannot be replicated by automated machinery.

The focus on manual construction ensures a level of character and authenticity in every rug. Because each piece is created by hand, you can be confident that your rug has been made with genuine care and attention to detail, resulting in a durable and unique addition to your floor.

Care & Fair

We are proud to be part of the organization CARE & FAIR. Their mission is to improve the living conditions of carpet weavers in India and their families through education and health

Maintenance

To prevent shading and uneven wear, frequently rotate your rug.
Use a conventional hoover instead of a robotic cleaner to prevent any damage to the rug.
If you discover a loose thread on your rug, use scissors to gently cut it off. Avoid pulling the thread to prevent damage.
Shake the rug outdoors to remove any excess dirt or debris.

Installation

Fold marks may occur during transport. This is not a manufacturing defect and is easy to remedy. Simply turn your rug over, roll it tightly, and leave it for a few hours. Finally, lay out your rug and wait a few days until your rug lays flat against the floor.
As you unpack your new rug, you may notice a slight smell, which is due to the rug being tightly packed during transport. This is normal and will go away after a few days.
We recommend using an anti-slip mat with this rug, as color migration may occur onto light-colored floors.
Please be aware that trapped dirt, dust, or dampness under a rug may cause marks or scratches on sensitive floors.

Care instructions

Do this

Address spills promptly to minimize staining. Blot the affected area gently with a damp, undyed cloth—never rub, as this may embed the stain further into the fibers. Protect the floor beneath the rug by ensuring it's properly covered during the cleaning process.
We recommend that you use Rugvista Stain Remover for this type of rug.
For hard-to-remove stains, we recommend you contact a professional rug cleaner.

Avoid this

Do not wash
Do not bleach.
Do not tumble dry.
Do not iron.
