Design

This rug features a whimsical arrangement of vehicles and clouds, rendered in a palette that feels both fresh and calming. The light blue background provides a gentle backdrop for the colourful motifs, making it an engaging focal point for any space.

The design is artistic and playful, incorporating recognisable shapes that capture the imagination. Its clean layout and balanced composition ensure it fits beautifully into modern interiors while adding a touch of personality to the room.

Each rug is carefully hand tufted by skilled artisans who bring decades of experience to their craft. This labour-intensive process requires significant time and precision, as the wool is individually inserted into the foundation to create the vibrant, detailed motifs that define the design.

The human effort involved in producing this piece ensures a level of detail and character that simply cannot be achieved through mechanical means. By choosing a hand tufted rug, you are supporting traditional craftsmanship and bringing a unique, expertly finished item into your home.

The process begins with a cotton foundation, onto which the wool is tufted to form a dense and resilient pile. This construction method results in a robust rug that maintains its shape and beauty over time, showcasing the dedication of the makers behind every single stitch.

The material also has a natural dirt-repellent effect which makes wool rugs easy to keep clean. Wool has a natural elasticity, which means that when the pile is pressed down, it can easily bounce back to its original shape.

Maintenance

To prevent shading and uneven wear, frequently rotate your rug.
Use a conventional hoover instead of a robotic cleaner to prevent any damage to the rug.
If you discover a loose thread on your rug, use scissors to gently cut it off. Avoid pulling the thread to prevent damage.
You may notice some shedding on your rug - this is completely normal and a sign of its high-quality natural fibres. The shedding will gradually lessen over time and does not affect the rug’s quality or lifespan. Regular hoovering with gentle suction and occasional brushing will help manage loose fibres and keep your rug looking beautiful for years to come.
Shake the rug outdoors to remove any excess dirt or debris.

Installation

Fold marks may occur during transport. This is not a manufacturing defect and is easy to remedy. Simply turn your rug over, roll it tightly, and leave it for a few hours. Finally, lay out your rug and wait a few days until your rug lays flat against the floor.
As you unpack your new rug, you may notice a slight smell, which is due to the rug being tightly packed during transport. This is normal and will go away after a few days.
Make sure your floor is completely dry before placing the rug.
Please be aware that trapped dirt, dust, or dampness under a rug may cause marks or scratches on sensitive floors.

Care instructions

Do this

Address spills promptly to minimize staining. Blot the affected area gently with a damp, undyed cloth—never rub, as this may embed the stain further into the fibers. Protect the floor beneath the rug by ensuring it's properly covered during the cleaning process.
We recommend that you use Rugvista Stain Remover for this type of rug.
For hard-to-remove stains, we recommend you contact a professional rug cleaner.
