Discover the Bakhtiar Collectible rug, a truly one-of-a-kind handmade Persian masterpiece featuring traditional medallion motifs and 100% wool construction.

Transform your living room or study into a warm and inviting sanctuary with this remarkable Bakhtiar Collectible rug. Measuring 295 x 200 cm, it offers generous coverage that anchors your furniture while introducing rich colour and texture to the room. The tactile pile feels wonderfully dense underfoot, providing natural sound absorption and an extra layer of warmth during cooler months.

Crafted entirely from 100% wool, this rug brings the natural resilience and softness that only pure animal fibres can deliver. The dense pile holds up gracefully to daily life while maintaining its inviting feel over the years. Wool naturally resists dirt and stays fresh with simple care, making it as practical as it is comfortable for everyday family use.

With an impressive density of 360,000 knots per m2, the intricate medallion and floral patterns are rendered with exceptional clarity and sharpness. This high knot count creates a remarkably tight, supportive surface that stands the test of time, ensuring the motifs remain crisp and defined through generations of walking and gathering.

Because this is a genuinely one-of-a-kind creation from Persia, no other rug in the world shares this exact combination of colours, motifs, and artisan handwork. Owning this piece means bringing a completely unique element into your home, knowing that this exact floor covering will never be replicated again.

Bakhtiari rugs originate from the historic mountain regions of Persia, traditionally crafted by nomadic and village tribal groups who drew deep inspiration from their surrounding gardens and landscapes. These weaving traditions have evolved over centuries, blending practical durability with sophisticated design repertoires that reflect the heritage of the region.

The 12 mm pile height provides a substantial, plush surface that softens footsteps and adds a comforting layer of insulation to your floors. This generous thickness is achieved through traditional hand-knotting methods, where every single strand is carefully secured to build a resilient and supportive foundation.

The visual language of Bakhtiari weaving is famous for its structured garden motifs, compartmentalised panels, and central medallion designs. In this piece, repeating floral elements and bold medallions create a balanced rhythm across the field, framed by traditional decorative borders that showcase the enduring artistry of Persian craft.

Collecting a traditional rug of this calibre connects your home to a rich lineage of textile art. Each piece represents an irreplaceable chapter of cultural heritage, valued by collectors and interior enthusiasts alike for its authentic craftsmanship and timeless visual appeal.

This rug is entirely handmade using traditional hand-knotted techniques passed down through generations in Persia. Skilled artisans have individually tied each of the 360,000 knots per m2 by hand onto the foundation, a meticulous process that demands immense patience, sharp vision, and extraordinary manual dexterity.

Creating a piece of this scale and complexity requires months of dedicated daily work. The impressive weight of 26.6 kg reflects the sheer density of material and the countless hours invested by the weaver, resulting in a robust, heavy construction that lies flat and stable on your floor.

The precision of the hand-knotting process is what gives this rug its remarkable durability and structural integrity. Every individual knot contributes to a tightly packed pile that supports the detailed patterns and ensures the rug retains its beauty and form even in well-used areas of the home.
